BC Registry application –

[ ] Banner notification on Name Request – please post the following: “BC Registries has recently made changes to their Naming Policy, ”hyperlink jumps down to “how to build a name” section if possible
[ ] Updates to “How to Build Your Name” section – please add additional examples under the “check for similar names in the same sector” section:

@Mihai-QuickSilverDev The banner text is controlled by a feature flag, not in the code. If everything else looks good, I believe we can proceed with deploying the code changes. @ozamani9gh agreed. Could you just test the second part? as I am waiting for Maribeth to confirm the banner text.

I'm currently waiting for Maribeth to confirm the banner text, as there isn't a specific hyperlink to the 'How to Build a Name' section.

Is there a character limit for banners in the application?

"BC Registries has recently made changes to their Naming Policy. Review "How to Build Your Name" on our website. "

The banner text has been set in the DEV and TEST environments for verification.

[ ] As per Eve's considerations above, moving this ticket to Ready for Release.
[ ] The banner work does not require coding and release.

@eve-git @Mihai-QuickSilverDev do we have an update on when this work will be completed and a banner added to Name Request for citizens?

I've updated the banner. Please check the TEST and DEV environments. If everything looks good, I will enable the banner in PROD.

Since the banner content is related to the text change, it's best to activate it after the code change has been released.

@eve-git @Mihai-QuickSilverDev I am double checking with @Maribeth-Wilson - I don't think any changes can go into production now that we've entered into the interregnum. This banner and any text changes may have to wait until after the election.

I will confirm and get back to you.
