The only place I see auto approval is under Check for words that have not been used before. It currently reads:
There are some coined words that have never been examined. When a name includes one of these words it will not be available for auto approval. You can choose to change your name or you can submit the name as is for examination.
If we want to keep this we should change the text to "Any coined words in a name request will need to be reviewed by registry staff before the name can be approved." Another option would be just to remove this point since all names need to be reviewed.
A couple of other problem areas are: Check for similar names in the same sector - This should include the list or a link to the list of all similar names (https://test.bcregistrynames.gov.bc.ca/nro/WebHelp/industry_list.html)
In the value proposition A new and better way to get a name for your business in B.C.
Find out if you can have your name right away (Coming soon) - We should remove this point Interactive help building a name - Is this still a feature? Get alternatives when your name is not available - Not sure what this means Guidance picking the most appropriate business structure (Coming soon) - Remove the "Coming soon"
Any thoughts @tlebedovich @lmcclung
@janisrogers - should we move this to "New Issues" or Grooming for us to complete?
Most of these have been resolved. Remaining:

We need a copy review for all bullet points under the How to Build Your Name subsections and within the Value Prop section.
