Describe the bug in current situation

1. go to https://www.bcregistry.ca/business/auth/home/maintain-business
2. click on Contact Us link under the Learn More button
3. click on Frequently Asked Questions link at bottom of dialog

Impact of this bug Users cannot see answers to frequently asked questions.

Chance of Occurring (high/medium/low/very low) Reproduces every time.

Pre Conditions: which Env, any pre-requisites or assumptions to execute steps? None - happens in Dev, Test and Prod.

Steps to Reproduce See description above.

Actual/ observed behavior/ results A new page "The page you are looking for cannot be found" is displayed.

Expected behavior A new page with frequently asked questions (and answers) is displayed.

The reason it is broken is because we didn't get the GUID permanent link.

Oh this FAQ page might not exist anymore - @trishreimer what is the status of the FAQ page? Are you working with Gen and Suzanne to keep it? If so, could you let me know the new link?

As of right now, the FAQ page is not being brought over to the new site but I was told the link should still work. I think it should be brought over though and a link added to the resources page until we've had time to update everything, including links in the app. I'll send a note right now about this...

FYI - Sarah is reviewing the requirements for modernization and trying to determine if a new FAQ page is needed or if all the content can fit on the page for 'how to use the Business Registry'.

Thank you, @severinbeauvais What pages are these links on?

@Sienna-Blumstengel would you be able to work with Suzanne and Gen to see if we have GUID's for these pages?
I would suggest we point the user to the new main landing page for each entity, within the app.

Another option is to point to the new main landing page (test) each time we reference the external website. User would need to navigate to the section they want...which would be a couple of extra clicks.

Hi Sienna,

More than happy to provide you with the final links once the site is finalized (the URL changes after publishing).

Couple of things …

Links #1 through #5 need to be confirmed with BCeid – we do not have that info on our site

6 should point to the Business Structure Wizard - https://entity-selection-prod.apps.silver.devops.gov.bc.ca/ We don’t point people to the Small Business BC site – plus SBBC does not include benefit companies as an option for consideration.

We will forward the links for #8, 9, 11 and 12 after we publish

13 and #14 are also not included in CMS.

For #7 and #10, we are reorganizing the info/IA for Modernization which will impact the URLs. (Don’t worry we’re not deleting any pages where links have been sent.😊). We are hoping to have a new option ready for review Monday.

@trishreimer what do you think about not pointing to small business, but the wizard instead? Looks like we can wait until the site updates are released for review and we can look at the new options to replace some of these links.
