@trishreimer , here is my proposed wording for the product selector.
The new Personal Property Registry service will be available in early 2022. Subscribing to this Registry now allows you to set up and manage your team members and payment methods.
OR: Subscribe to this Registry now to set up and manage your team members and payment methods before the service is launched in early 2022.
I posted something in the OCM chat...possibly at the same time you posted this @magszymanski . (also copied below). I like the text you suggested as well. Over to the team to decide what is best.
Title: Personal Property Registry - currently not available. Product Launch Date: Early 2022
Select this if you plan to use PPR. You can add PPR users to your account now so your account is ready for the product launch in 2022. You will be advised when PPR is available to use.
PPR will be used to register or search all encumbrances created against personal property in B.C., whether it belongs to a business or an individual. • Protect from loss or legal conflict by registering your interest (cars, boats, trailers or machinery). • Search for existing liens on personal property . • Provides personal property registration and search services. Learn More
This is the current wording which we have for PPR:
Whatever text we add - I am assuming the new text is over and above the current text what we have.
This is how I am imagining Trish's text:
The rest for PPR will go, as it currently is set, in the Read More accordion:
PPR will be used to register or search all encumbrances created against personal property in B.C., whether it belongs to a business or an individual. • Protect from loss or legal conflict by registering your interest (cars, boats, trailers or machinery). • Search for existing liens on personal property . • Provides personal property registration and search services. Learn More
Now that I see it...the title is a bit too long.
but the mockup is what I was thinking.
Maybe we use some styling - smaller font or something so it fits or just the say same thing with less words? see suggestion below.
Personal Property Registry - Currently not available. Launch date: Early in 2022
Could we shorten it to one of the options below? I've heard teams discuss "coming soon" before. While the service itself isn't currently available, using the selector is:
OR "available in early 2022"
Maybe less words even but some details on why under the read more?
Personal Property Registry - Under construction, launch date: Early in 2022. You can subscribe now so your account will be ready for the launch. Read More Why set up your account now?
Looks good. The shorter the better. Thanks. Can we make this change for Wills too pls?
Here is the mock-up. I didn't catch you in time as you were dropping off the Assets call, @Kaineatthelab , but the team was helpful and asked whether this product selector will affect Crown users. Melissa is also following up with the Relationships team whether users who subscribe to PPR now will have access to the product once it goes live, or whether they will have to resubscribe. The way our final wording reads is that users will not have to action subscribing again once the product is live.
I thought we were adding the crown restricted users in the backend so if they subscribe we turn the flag on... Otherwise lets move forward on that wording and change?
@magszymanski I'd noted wanting to check how this works on the back-end. Summary from a thread with Jyoti... 1) With PPR this approach should work. When PPR is launched and a user navigates to PPR (directly or via dashboard) PPR makes an authorization call to AUTH API to check if the user has access to the product. This action would set access for when the PPR site is in PROD. 2) With Wills there are two access points. One is through us, the other through Wills. Outreach is needed for the Wills team to make sure launching this won't have any impact if a client subscribed (set flag to yes) and then tried to log on through Wills. There'd be a need to work with Relationships for this outreach @jyoti3286 @JohnamLane.
For Kaine's comment above on crown restricted users my only thought is we won't know when accounts are set up in the new BR to grant this. Do we just look for accounts linked to the BCOL accounts with access closer to launch? Is there a need to schedule this enough before launch to allow for follow up with those who do not yet have accounts so we can ensure nobody ends up without access on day 1?
There are only 13 or so special PPR accounts so we will need to check if they have created accounts in PPR and make sure their access flag is on. New ones don't have a way to do that as they are super rare.
Does this mean we need further action re: Wills before completing this ticket? Or can we go ahead and make this change to PPR and Wills product selectors?
We need to discuss with Wills once to make sure it doesn't impact with their go-live
What could the impact be?
I am thinking aloud: Vital stat can't go live with their items until we go through all the governance. I would vote for not doing the Vital stat prod change and maybe dont invite Vital Stat user for this session specifically.
If the Prod is selected, Vital stats user can click on LOGIN on the Vital stats application - they are re-directed to BC Reg Keycloak which shouldnt be allowed untill all the governance activities are marked complete
Whats the final wording for PPR? @trishreimer @magszymanski
We landed on (see above latest mock-up):
Personal Property Registry - Under construction, launch date: early 2022. You can subscribe now so your account will be ready for the launch.

@jyoti3286 when can this go in:)?
This will be part of the next Sprint. We will groom it on Monday. I am hoping it can be delivered early in the next Sprint(wording change). @Kaineatthelab
Can we confirm if this is what we were looking for? @magszymanski @trishreimer https://preview.uxpin.com/2a787574ccbc844119c7ae087952734ce7c1c86d#/pages/143065151 https://preview.uxpin.com/2a787574ccbc844119c7ae087952734ce7c1c86d#/pages/143065168
@trishreimer @jyoti3286 Awesome - I like it better with the "under construction" wording being placed below the PPR title. Question about the Wills selector - will that be "live" as well when users begin creating their accounts?
@magszymanski - It will be only PPR. @rkim13103 - Could you remove the Vital stats from the design?
The link should be updated with vital stats removed!
Thanks, all!
When will the product selector for PPR be live? We are sending out the link with Zoom details for the Oct 27 sessions, this time adding a PDF link that explains how to create a Premium account in case users don't want to or can't join the session. The doc explains to select the product they want, and in this audience's case, it's the PPR selector. If it's not live until Wednesday, we should probably wait to send this out until then.
It will be part of the next Sprint. If available we will deploy early. Hopefully it should be ready for Oct 27 @magszymanski
This design ticket can be closed @rkim13103 I have created a DEV ticket https://app.zenhub.com/workspaces/relationships-team-space-61435c47e483c4000f08e9f6/issues/bcgov/entity/9593 and moved to next Sprint
Who will do this work Relationships team
Background Relationships has previously built the ability to select PPR as a product in the account creation flow and on the products and services page. The flag will be updated to show this service before the service can actually be added so wording is needed in the existing text space to advise a user that the ability to subscribe is coming at a later time.
User Story Given I am setting up an account or have set up an account previously When I want to add PPR Then I see a place to select PPR
Acceptance Criteria Given I want to add PPR as a service When I select PPR Then the wording tells me "The Modernized Personal Property Registry will be available in early 2022, you can subscribe now to set up and manage your teams, payment methods"
