  1. Nice work on methods page…easy to navigate. Simple descriptions. I still need to spend more time reading all, but good job!
  2. How easy/difficult would it be to add tables or figures to these descriptions? E.g., I am thinking it might be easier for user/viewer to look at habitat descriptions in a table vs. the queries provided. Maybe it would just be better to provide a link to fisher habitat website? Re: figure, I wondered if there was value to putting the Lofroth 2004 density figure in.
  3. Overview – Nice job. A few minor suggestions. “Fishers are territorial animals that require specific forest structures in their territories (aka home range) to meet their life history needs. Because each individual fisher will have a unique territory shape and location based upon local habitat conditions, we cannot identify the location of each fisher territory across British Columbia (BC). Instead, we use a spatial grid of hexagons with an area of 30 km2 to represent a “Fisher Equivalent Territory Area” (FETA). A 30 km2 size approximates the measured average home range size of fisher in BC (Rich Weir, pers. comm.) and are an effective means to estimate habitat characteristics and assess whether they meet fisher needs.”
  4. Data layer – TSA - could you remove the colour ‘fill’ and just have the TSA outlines?
  5. I see you added FN territories! (Nice!). Would you also add Natural Resource Districts as a layer? Low priority for now, but this list might get long and I wonder if any way to sort/constrain? E.g., layer selection by TSA, NRD, FN Territory, then drop down to select specific area?

FYI, I think adding Natural Res. Districts may be a higher priority than indicated above. I'm working with a few separate districts, so...would be an interesting layer to provide info wihtin.

  1. Added suggestion
  2. I added Nat. Res. Districts - but I still need to add in your suggestion of a layer selection by TSA, NRD, FN Territory as the 'first' select.
