The purpose of this task is to Analyze, tryouts available options in the Scanning softwires to how can we match the following capabilities

1. Scan to PDF
2. Scan to Searchable PDF
3. Adaptability with Fujitsu Scanners IAO possess
4. Performance comparison with PaperStream TWAIN

1. Access to FUJITSU Scanners on FISGARD IAO office(Scanning Teams scanners)
2. IDIR\AANTONY(abin.antony@gov.bc.ca) Access to Scanning Team Workstations attached to above Scanners and/or a workstation with similar config
3. Scanning Team unavailability schedules! so that FOI Team member (ABIN) can get inside and analyze

@abin-aot - I spoke with scanning and IMB (David) about this.

• Fridays and Mondays are ideal days to come in, as usually one of either Doug or Val will be off, and I think Mondays has some of them working from home too.
• If you want to hook your machine up to the scanner, you can, but you will need a special driver - David Handysides can link you to it if you like, but he also advised you should have more than 8GB of RAM on your machine if you did this.
• You can log onto the computer with your IDIR - if there is special software you need to install to try out, he is adding us to a security group that will allow us to self serve a temp admin role that will allow you to install whatever you need to on the machine and access it as you please. There is a JIRA ticket tracking this.
