@micheal-w-wells is this possible? It's the dream.

  • users want to view the following data sets on the map AND query these data sets along with IAPP and InvasivesBC records via metabase.
  • [ ] iNaturalist (we have a project set up to pull data against the species we care about)
  • [ ] Report Invasives App (our own reporting app that currently goes to an email address)
  • [ ] Global biodiversity Information Facility (https://www.gbif.org/)
  • [ ] efloraBC (https://ibis.geog.ubc.ca/biodiversity/eflora/data.html ) (includes the CDC dataset

Basically, if we can get web service endpoints, shapefiles, or CSV's it's all doable. From what you listed I think there's 2 categories here:

1) Things like Report Invasives - this is ours and we can glue it to Invasives for reporting or whatever however we like. 2) External data sets - from the few links I clicked I didn't see a 'info for developers' section anywhere, and hit a few dead links looking around. Basically we need to contact each of those parties and see if they can provide us with data in one of the above listed formats and establish a process for updates if it isn't a live web service.

https://www.pnwherbaria.org/data/datasets.php these guys have it laid out nicely. Would be pretty straight forward to load occurrence data.
