[L] Spike: Sites - Workflow Diagrams & Data Model (refinement)

Data flow diagrams for Admin and API consumer (data model, design and drafting diagrams - iterating and coming to consensus) Joint efforts from devs, UX and SD to collaborate.

Acceptance Criteria:

• data flow diagram is drafted (done) - process flow diagram is drafted (done)
• Data model is ready to be updated - unblocking this ticket as of Jan 2nd refinement (done)
• Shared understanding of everything captured
• Documentation of all decisions are captured (done - see below)

Decisions from Jan 2, 2024 meeting:

• PA Search will eventually become General search but is restricted to type=protectedarea for now
• If you want to get to a site then you must know what protected area it belongs to and search via protected area (MVP of sites)
  • search protected area, view protected area and see associated sites and thats where user can view and/or edit sites
  • No changes to the functionality of the current PA search
• sites are always associated with a protected area, when a protected area is repealed all its sites are repealed, but a site can be independently repealed from a park

Questions(with answers) from Nov 14th brainstorming session:

• What does a site life cycle look like? Take a look at current state
• • Sites come into being after or at the same time as a PA is established. Sites never have a pending status. Sites are either Established or Repealed.
• Do the statuses of sites reflect to status of their parent PA (active/repealed, etc) -- Site statuses can change independently of their parent PA, though when the status of the parent PA changes (established -> repealed), then all child sites must be repealed too.

Dev's still need to review the workflow diagrams and give feedback before we move this to done.

Reviewed. Flows look analogous to protected area flows, which is to be expected. Did I miss anything major?

@cameronpettit do you think the other DR dev's need to review these as well or safe to assume they have same understanding as you based on similarity to protected area flows?

I mean I don't want to speak on their behalf but if the flows truly are that similar I would presume they have the same understanding
