I'm writing to inform you about a change in knitr that will affect a CRAN package that you maintain. The fix should be fairly straightforward, and some of you have received Github pull requests from me.
I don't intend to actually make this breaking change on CRAN in the near future, but it will probably happen in a year. Your package should be able to stay safely on CRAN without the fix for quite a while, but I recommend that you make the change as early as you could.
