Getting the data is relatively quick... hard to accelerate without sacrificing accuracy (e.g. simplify polygons would have innacurate measurements) but re-loading leaflet takes a long time! Could represent cutblocks as points, or use a faster rendering engine (leafletGL?)... need to test times...
