DNA adapter in DRS #93

Hi, How do you deal with sequencing the DNA adapters using the direct RNA sequencing chemistry? Thanks a lot for developing the simulator, which is very useful.

Hi,

In our simulation, we don't simulate adapters. There are two reasons: 1) according to our analysis, adapter sequences are mixed with the head/tail flanking regions, making them hard to simulate; 2) the technology is rapidly evolving, so we can't keep track of all the emerging adapters for different kit and chemistries, so we can't simulate them.
