Yeah there are some blatant copies out there... glad I found this!
I found rabbani.dev and decided to add it to my "portfolio inspiration" folder thinking it looked really good. Turns out it wasn't his work so I guess my congratulations go to @bchiang7 👍
Thanks @bchiang7 and all other maintainers for the effort on this project Here is my copy https://abdallaahmedsiteproduction.herokuapp.com/ currently making some blog posts before going live and making an ( instagram linktree like ) page, will make a PR to this repo once the feature is completed
I built my friend's portfolio using Nuxt .js and the design was heavily inspired by @bchiang7's portfolio. Check it out.
Hey, the white-bg version of the website isnt available anymore.
@GitHubEmploy no, that's something I added in my version :)
Websites using
bchiang7/v4
i thought it would be nice to have this kind of list in README.md. Since some websites don't always give credit
I am talking about this @ekaranjaa
@GitHubEmploy is using it at https://mohitvarikuti.com/
(currently without credit)

Its currently shown as a fork on my repository and linked on the website

I don't believe it's linked - it says "Made using React"
Its linked at the repo, which is blatantly stated

Yeah but... why did you say it was linked on the website when it's clearly not true?
You should put the credits in the website as not everyone is going to check your github.
Hey, the white-bg version of the website isnt available anymore.
u can edit styles in globalstyle
I was making a CRA GitHub profile themed personal website then I came across this awesome website so I decided to mix the two together
the result is this: https://github.com/aabuhijleh/better-github-profile
A GitHub themed version of this website (dark & light). The content is dynamically generated using GitHub's GraphQL API which given a certain username fetches
extend.json
in the profile README repo which has about
,jobs
...etc section informationlive demo: https://aabuhijleh.com
Note: this is still a work in progress
Thanks so much for this wonderful template! I adapted it using a custom color scheme and credited this template in both the site footer and my repo README.
Repo: https://github.com/RuolinZheng08/RuolinZheng08.github.io Demo: https://lynnzheng.netlify.app/
I have custom this template by using webpack:
I've modified the color scheme and removed few sections. I've been using this for quite a long time actually. Never got enough time to modify the template. So over the years it had the stock look. Finally today I managed to make it like I want. YaaaY..
Here is the website: https://iamsabbir.dev/
I don't understand why people would steal the project without any kind of credits. What are they accomplishing by this ? They take someone's project, change some data and what ?
I'd rather develop my custom website and use something if I like to integrate it with credits of course.
At least Kudos to those people that changed logo :) Other's are just plain lazy
Yeah there are some blatant copies out there... glad I found this!
Which furthermore proves that the original is so good!
@bchiang7 up for a contest where people get a chance to remix your work, huh? 👍🏼
@bchiang7 Thanks for the great work on this project. I used your website for UI (Layouts, Typography and Colors). I did put acknowledgment in my Readme File
Project is still in progress, but I'm open to any suggestions for improving my website :)
I'm using it on https://ayushgupta.me/, accrediction at the footer.
@bchiang7 Thanks for this, might I say, this theme is beauty!
This guy is using exact photocopy without credit. Even has the audacity to ask for credit in return.
Hi everyone. Thanks @bchiang7 for your awesome open source template. Here's my version: https://surveiior.github.io/, check it out!

@ridays2001 I opened an issue on their repo and they have seemed to delete it (the repo not the site). I'm just going to open an issue on their profile README.md repo lol.

@xMdb Actually, the guy is a super jerk. He had created a LinkedIn post about how he worked hard to create this website and how he loves feedback. I left a comment on that post and after a few mins, he blocked me on LinkedIn and disabled comments for that post.

@ridays2001 lol if I put one on his other repos he will just disable issues probably

Hi @hamzaPixl on your website you should keep the repo at the bottom the same (required for attribution) as I see you have changed it

How did you change the logo and loader? can you tell me? I'm having an issue changing it just let me know which tool you have used. It would be very helpful for me.
I loved the design, so I used took some major inspiration in the creation of my own site. It's availble on GitHub as well. It doesn't actually use anything from this repository but I figured it'd be nice to share.

https://ariesclark.com and https://github.com/ariesclark/ariesclark.com @ariesclark Heey could you tell , What library you used in the background ( dotted squares ) for this portfolio
@nagar2817 Actually just rewrote my site, so it doesn't look like that anymore, and I didn't use a library or anything, It's just a React component using the Canvas element. The old Canvas code is available here: https://github.com/ariesclark/ariesclark.com/blob/8e9acf8172294d55fff315ddd68709408a27910b/src/components/Canvas.tsx
Thank you @bchiang7 and everyone else who contributed to this awesome project. I built my portfolio site in Sveltekit using this design but with a few modifications. You can take a look at it here: kesutherland.com.
Design attribution can be seen in the footer.
