Small Craft: Error From The Book Regarding Runabouts #100

So, this one isn't so much a bug in the app, but more the app is following a slight error in the Utopia Planitia Book, and I wanted to bring it up in case you wanted to correct the error on the app side of things.

So, Small Craft. The error comes in base stat totals. Pods and Shuttlecraft both calculate from a base year of 2200, while Runabouts supposedly calculate from 2150. Doesn't seem to be a problem, right?

Well, the problem comes from the officially-statted runabouts in the book - the Danube, the Aeroshuttle, the Captain's Yacht, the Mission Scout, and the Delta Flyer. I've run the numbers on all of them, and they only make sense with the base point pool if Runabouts calculate from 2200, just like Pods and Shuttlecraft, rather than 2150 like the book says.

Again, just bringing the issue up here so it is known - if you want to correct the point values in the app to match what I've figured out, that's up to you.

I took a glance, and it looks like the Danube just pulled stats from the original Core book. The Yacht and Delta Flyer both had reduced stats from their sources (in the yacht's case, a much-needed reduction as it had 59 points in total) but the reduction went too far in both cases.

It seems like something to ask Modiphius about—there was clearly intent to bring the Yacht and Flyer more in-line with the runabout, but perhaps that was done with initial stats, before a change was made to beef them up with the 2150 date. I'm not sure if it's necessary given that they already start with 10 more system points and an extra department point, but certainly something to inquire about.

Asked the question here in the STA Discord, and the answer is that it is a typo, as I suspected.
