I like this app, and the simplicity with which it works. I would like to help out where I can, starting with the design side of things.

Can I suggest using Polymer as the foundation for the project, on which we will start building, and extending?

Anything else (custom, foundation, bootstrap) is also fine by me, just checking what your opinion is on this matter, and if it would be helpful to start throwing in PR with polymer as the foundation.

@DeviaVir I love the idea of using a framework like Polymer, and will differ to your expertise. I'd be happy to add any features necessary to fit with the UI you're imagining. A few ideas I have:

the date when I add a song to my music collection is important to me, usually I buy a bunch of music before a gig. It would be nice if we index the timestamps.
we don't currently sort by search-term relevance when searching (this would be good to fix).
it would be nice to be able to vary how results are returned, without making the UI too complicated. I find the following are most important to me:
- bpm.
- name of song.
- name of artist.
- date that I added the track to the collection.

I've added you to the project as a collaborator, excited to get your input on the project.

@DeviaVir I'm really digging this look so far :+1: A couple comments:

Usually I try to keep the light my laptop emits pretty low when DJing, so it would be nice to have a fairly dark color scheme.
I'm picturing that I'll probably end up using record-crate along side Ableton, so planning for a fairly then horizontal layout is probably smart (It looks like you're already doing this :+1: ).

To address the dark color scheme, I'll keep it grey and blue for now. Will start on adding some more features and will then send in a PR with the new app.

Later on we can of course iterate, improve and make it one again.
