2. choose mod
3. press apply
4. manager cant write to mod

Additional context all ready uninstalled and reinstalled hoi4, MoD manager and cleared steam cache even confirmed file integrity and deleted .json dlc and 2 others other threads said

Error message tells you to bring the Irony error log with you. I cannot offer any assistance without it.

Your game files are located in onedrive folder, and this seems to indicate that service is not started perhaps.

i have files backed up in one drive should i transfer them to my main files to fix the issue

yes i have a OneDrive account and i am signed in

Irony is looking at the one drive folder, it's getting some odd behavior like file not found. Verify antivirus or that irony has write permissions. This is down to the one drive it seems.
