Note that the schema generator I'm using, schemars, supports OpenAPI 3.0 schemas. So from a schema POV, we can already handle that.
As part of this, or more likely a separate effort, define an entire CSL OpenAPI that different implementations could support. We know how to do this already; just need to formalize it.
OTOH, if this turns out to be a good idea, and we make good progress on it, we could move it to the CSL org and include this there.
