MOTD not working #500

Ive done numerous clean installs of evolvemod downloaded straight from the 
github but each time, I encounter the same error. No MOTD at startup.

As seen as you join the server, you expect the MOTD screen to pop up, but its 
not there. Any clues or fixes? Thanks

The only thing printed to console is this:
