URL cannot be saved - VideoTime pro 1.8 RC2 #71

Hello! I downloaded the latest version of the Pro Plugin today and installed it on the DEV server. Moodle 4.1.10+ - Build: 20240422 VideoTime Pro 1.8 - 2024050600

After the installation I cannot create a new activity. I always get error messages with the URL.

With a stored YouTube URL (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5sd_CuZxNc), the system says that the URL is required. Without the protocol specification (e.g. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5sd_CuZxNc), the system says that the Vimeo URL is not correct.

Agree to what @stdoma stdoma said. I am facing the same issues unfortunately. Looking forwards to see the solution soon.

I have the same problem as @stdoma in my case with VideoTime 1.8 (2024050700) and Moodle 4.2.2+ (Build: 20230920)

We're also still having the same problem, although only for newly added VT items. Old ones (probably created on an older version of VT) with a saved YT URL still work fine.

Apparently this has been fixed in the latest release now: https://github.com/bdecentgmbh/moodle-mod_videotime/releases/tag/v1.8.2
