Update this: https://www.mainestateoflearning.org/faq.html

First draft: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kjiK8_omIToTpXytTw3PQRbhFnYxYuNWXrDEuNUPbuU/edit

@megcolek can you have a look please?

Hey there - Same question with this - who is the audience? Some questions are geared towards parents/youth and some towards participating orgs. I think we just need to distinguish that.

threeqube commented 9 years ago

It's supposed to be a general FAQ. Should we create different FAQs according to audience?

threeqube commented 9 years ago

@kayaelle I think this draft could work for now: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kjiK8_omIToTpXytTw3PQRbhFnYxYuNWXrDEuNUPbuU/edit#

If you don't mind taking a look at the "site questions" and making sure my answers are solid, that'd be great!

Heya, Suggested edits to "How do I Get a Badge" (email option):

If your learning instructor sends you the badge through email, you will have to check yours or your parent’s email account. In the email that is sent to you or your parent, if this is your first badge, there will be a link which takes you to the page where you will walk through the steps to create an account. Once your account is created, you will be taken to your My Badges page where you will find your badge. If you already have an account, simply log in to reach your My Badges page. The My Badges page serves as your portfolio of badges where you can print your badges to show your parents, friends and teachers.

The My Badges page isn't public. Only the Badge Earner can view it. That said, maybe you mean that they can physically show the My Badges page to parents, friends & teachers?

Also, This point is relative to "What can I do with the badges I earned?"

Thnx

:+1: this sounds great.

yeah, that's what I was thinking...But maybe that's misleading. Maybe better to just take it out for now?

Also, This point is relative to "What can I do with the badges I earned?"

Yep got it.

Sorry - Didn't quite finish my comment but I see yours.

Should I take out: "The My Badges page serves as your portfolio of badges where you can print your badges to show your parents, friends and teachers." ?

Should I exclude: "What can I do with the badges I earned?"

For claim code option, changed the last line to: "Follow that link, input the claim code you received and walk-through the steps to print your badge."

Claim codes can't be used to create an account. Earners with only claim codes can only print their badges.

Thnx!

All good.

Should I take out: "The My Badges page serves as your portfolio of badges where you can print your badges to show your parents, friends and teachers." ?

Isn't this correct?

Should I exclude: "What can I do with the badges I earned?"

If you feel like it, yes.

For claim code option, changed the last line to: "Follow that link, input the claim code you received and walk-through the steps to print your badge."

Sounds good.
