Hi,

this is not a strictly development feature but sometimes also developers needs to write documentation.

A Markdown tool could compile Markdown (.md, .markdown, .mdown, .mkdn etc.) files, in HTML pages with a custom stylesheet which can be chosen from the language preferences.

Out of specs as you have guessed. Did you have a look at Marked? Great application and worthwhile to look into.
