Feature: Easy Compass plugin or Bower package install #555

As a Compass plugin maker I see lots of gripes about getting plugins to work in Codekit. Codekit does a great job as a GUI for Compass until you need to do something a little extra.

I would really love an interface for installing plugins in Codekit. A button like “install Compass plugin” and “install Bower package” where you can just type in the gem/package name and codekit handles everything (would be cool if it includes in the config.rb as well).

The Compass guys told me about a year ago that they were going to overhaul the entire plugin system for Compass. That's why I held off on implementing direct support for them. Compass development seems to have stalled a bit (the last release was 9 months ago).

As for the second thing... you're going to like what's coming. ;)
