+1 still seeing this problem.

Mac OS Ventura 13.5.2 Muzzle 1.9 - Build 426

Also confirming this issue; DND enabled correctly upon screen share start but never returns to prior 'off' state.

MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 Muzzle v.19 - Build 426

bdkjones commented 8 months ago

Muzzle is baked into macOS since Monterrey. Sonoma will already silence notifications when screen sharing begins.

This makes me sad. I love Muzzle as an idea and while I'm glad that macos does it natively now I still love the idea of notifications being fully silenced and not just silently not shown on my laptop. Like if I am in a meeting and screen sharing I'd expect that my mic would be unmuted and pings from my phone might be audible.

Regardless, thank you for the app all these years. 🥰

Thanks! It was definitely a wild ride to the top of ProductHunt. I have a "Muzzle Pro" version of the app that I never released that lets you customize/control a lot more about macOS, but that game gets harder and harder with every Apple update. Cupertino just doesn't make it easy for third party apps to modify the system's behavior.
