It compiles and works great on osx. (user mode)

Just had to change the location of the firmware file. And remove the -vf
parameters of mplayer.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers

Joan

Great! I'm curious, how did you execute the Setup.exe program on OS X? I did a
quick search and see there might be wine for OS X, but if you could detail the
steps you took, it might be useful to others. Thanks!

Yup, second this. I'd love to get some detailed instructions for setting this
up.

Yeah it worked for me too. To get it working:

1) Find SmiUsbGrabber3C.sys. You can reportedly get this from the Windows
drivers, but since I don't have a CD drive on my MacBook pro, I had to find one
on the internet using my magic search powers.

2) Extract the firmware somewhere.

3) Run somagic-init passing the location to the firmware you extracted

4) Run somagic-capture like:

./somagic-capture -n | "./MPlayer OSX
Extended.app/Contents//Resources/Binaries/mpextended.mpBinaries/Contents/mpexten
ded.mpBinaries/Contents/MacOS/mplayer" -demuxer rawvideo -rawvideo
"ntsc:format=uyvy:fps=30000/1001" -aspect 4:3 -

Ya know, assuming you just downloaded MPlayer OS X extended, like I did.

I'm attempting to do this and I cannot compile this on mac. The make is
spitting out being unable to find gcrypt.h

I've managed to build this on Mac OS X Mountain Lion by installing these
dependencies with brew:

$ brew install libgcrypt libusb

Hope it helps!
