I really like Aile, but I still find the quasi-proportional spacing difficult to read compared to fully proportional fonts like Lucida Grande. I don't know of a nice proportional sans serif with programming ligatures and I think Iosevka would be a natural first since it looks great and already has a quasi-proportional family.
The workaround suggested in https://github.com/be5invis/Iosevka/issues/373 is not great IMO because simply tightening spacing is not the same as proper kerning, which I don't have the skill to do myself.
