kml-parsed balloons too narrow, not playing youtube videos

I have a large kmz map that works fine in Google Earth, but when I save
file as kml and fetched to Google Earth plugin, Youtube videos are not
shown in balloons (standard Youtube code with <object>, <embed><param>...
used for embedding and videos do play in Desktop Google Earth app).
Photos (standard <img> tags of course) are showing just fine.
Also balloons by default are really narrow, is there an easy way to change
balloon size? (Once again, I'm talking about fetched kml, not about
manually creating balloon divs, that parts is explained, but it's
ridiculous to manually do it for large kml files with a lot of info).
