Integrate blogger and the Google Earth api for blogs about locations #257

What should this feature enhancement do?

Integrate blogger and the Google Earth api with the dom tree like this
http://earth-api-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/demos/dom-tree/index.html

Ideally the labels for the posts would become layers on the map. The
blogger would have an interface for adding the post that would include
placing it on the map. and would also include an interface for adding photo
overlays (360 panos)and 3d models or anything possible in the Earth app.

the viewer of the blog would be able to switch between the "whats new" blog
mode to the "browse the map" mode with tabbed pages. the posts would also
be on the map as placemarkers and the labels of the blog posts would create
layers on the map visable in the dom tree.

I would like to use this on our blog vrjourney.blogspot.com and i think
this could be a template for blogs about local areas that alot of people
would use. The Earth api element allows it to be viewed from work and
bloggger element gives people a place to come the find out whats new on the
map.

Are there any known workarounds that produce the similar results?

I forgot to add that it would be cool if when you are viewing a blog post and
you
switch to map mode or click a link link in the post the map comes up with the
saved
view for the placemarker that corresponds to the post.

FYI You can use the KML embedding gadgets for showing locations:

http://tr.im/embedkml

You can even give the gadget a My Maps URL.
