What should this feature enhancement do?

A Flash API for the Google Earth Plugin would be much appreciated. 

The problem I'm encountering is that the ExternalInterface Class, which I'm
using to allow communication from Flash to JS to Earth API, isn't supported
in Adobe AIR, so I'm unable to make a desktop application out of my Google
Earth/Flex Project.

Are there any known workarounds that produce the similar results?

I second this request. With Flash Player 10's 3D capability this should be 
feasible.
