idx/sub subtitle error

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Locate a movie file with idx/sub subtitle files
2. Open the movie
3. Will show an error dialog

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Movist 0.5.1, on Leopard 10.5.2

Update: Movist 0.6.8 on 10.6.4, Movist just crashes if I try to open the avi 
file with the idx/sub-files named the same in the same folder.

This issue has been open for 2 years, any chance you could provide and comments 
on it?
