e.g. "The requested size is not available" when asking for "Original" which is not always available.

PR seems fine, but it seems like it's going more downhill for flake8 and python 2.6, which is completely unrelated to this PR. Bah. Need to disable it entirely for python 2.6

Right: I've seen the failure is unrelated to these (tiny) changes.
