What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open video file encoded in Xvid or Divx
2. Just let it play or sek within the file
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected: audio & video in sync
Actual result: audio not synched to video, lagging 0.5-0.8 seconds

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

Not video file dependant, other playrs, notably on Windows platform do not

Also having same issue with a few select files. Played using VLC without issue.
Audio
ahead of video .5 seconds or so. Movist 0.6.2 on OSX 10.5.7 using the FFmpeg or
Quicktime plugin. Encoded in Xvid. Only known difference between files that
play and
do not is age, non-syncing files are approximately 2 years old.

The same issue with Movist 0.6.7 on Mac OS X 10.5.8. File (DIVX + MP3) played
fine in
VLC, MPlayer OSX Extended and QT + Perian. It seems that there is some
workaround.
After loading file click icon with FFMPEG logo in right upper conner of Movist
window -
now Movist will use QT codecs instead FFMPEG. Click it once again and hopefully
audio
and video will be synced. Hope this helps.

Same issue with Movist 0.6.7 on a .m2ts file containing a H264-MPEG4 AVC
1920x1080
video track and an AC3 48kHz 5.1ch sound track. The file plays with MPlayer
with a
smaller lag, and plays with no lag on VLC. (VLC problem is that its stops
playing it
altogether as soon as I add a subtitle file to the mix).

I've got the same problem, audio's running about a second ahead of the video,
XviD with an mpga audio stream. Works fine in VLC, problem's with Movist,
QuickTime and Real.

Movist 1.3.8. Audio/Video not synced in OSX 10.10 beta (Audio is delayed 2-6
seconds depending on file type whenever FFMPEG is employed.)
ubtitles do not exhibit this delay. Controls for audio sync are very awkward.
MPlayer works.
