While I appreciate the intent here, I mentioned immediately when you brought this issue to my attention and I described the fix I had just written for it that

I'll queue this up for the next Bedrock release.

which resulted in a fix which covers this.

The fix is bundled with other changes that need testing before filtering down to an actual release, which is why I left the issue open, as it's not actually fixed for end-users yet.
