So, it's been a while since I checked out deno and they now have support for loading npm modules and some other conveniences that I think are important. Interestingly, deno lint comes with recommended (outside of standard) rules and combined with deno fmt largely do some of what sunbeams is intended to do. Sunbeams lint/format still has some value in that it is npm installable and can be version pinned per project (use latest) but... like... "install deno" is pretty simple as well. I do have some issue with it's default formatting (semicolons, double quotes, line length) but those can be overridden easily enough that like... 🤷🏻♀️
Anyway, I'm considering just doing that and stripping that functionality from sunbeams. If that's the route I go I still want this project to do other things that it can to make all our days brighter. Avoiding my ADHD impulsivity, I'll sit with this for a few days at least.
If this is the route I end up going, sunbeams will either still provide this functionality or move it to houseplant. Either way, nothing more to note here for the foreseeable future.
