Issues with using Shares / Disks that are not always available #64

Example: I have a "movies" share on a NAS disk that is not always switched
on. How do i add this to MediaBrowser ? (e.g. using latest build 486)

- if I use a .VF file pointing to it, I get an error each time I start MB
and the drive is not switched on (invalid path)
- if I use a windows shortcut to the share, stored in the default Video
folder, the label displayed for that share's icon in MB is unpredictable
and sometimes changes without any clear reason. Sometimes, the label is
the label of the shortcut in the Videos folder. Sometimes, the label
becomes the actual name of the share. Quite annoying !

Ideally I think the "invalid path" messages for shares in .VF files should
be suppressed somehow, as I really think .VF files rock.

keep up the good work folks !

P.S. Although I haven't tried this myself, I must assume some folks are going
to
connect USB drives at some point, and we'll have a similar issue there.

P.P.S. as a workaroudn for the "unpredicatble label" issue above, I had to
delete
and re-create the shortcut to my network share a number of times before the
label
just "stuck". I have no clue as to why this seems to be so random. Right now I
have
one shortcut to a share where the label is the actual shortcut's label, and
another
one where the label is the share's real name. Go figure.
