Hey there! #1

There seams to be no option to contact someone on github (I'm a github noob...), so I try contacting you here. In the last month I developed an UnrealScript plugin for Sublime Text 2 featuring autocompletion and goto declaration. (https://github.com/Zinggi/UnrealScriptIDE) My intention is to create a complete solution for UnrealScript so I'd love to include your snippets in my plugin plus some of my own too. If you agree I would of course give credits to you. What do you think?

Thanks & best regards, Zinggi

I think that sounds like a plan :+1: I was planning to do autocomplete / goto dec but didn't have time, so glad you were able to do it :)

I'm happy for you to pull out whatever's useful from this UnrealScript package, and once you've managed to cover the functionality that was here, I'll happily relinquish the "UnrealScript" package name in Sublime Package Control to your more complete one.

Just let me know once you've gotten what you've needed and I can submit a pull request to SPC to use your git repo for the "UnrealScript" package (if you were interested that is).

Cheers, Mick

Great, thanks for being so cooperative!

So I'm just going to copy your snippets and the build file over to my package then, great. For the language file, there is another guy working on a language file too (https://github.com/Zinggi/UnrealScriptIDE/pull/1). So I'm going to use yours for now and maybe if I prefer the other, use his.

I have already submitted my package for package control, but it hasn't been accepted yet. So once it has been accepted it would be better if there was only one UnrealScript package available. So instead of linking to my package, could you remove yours then? Of course only if that's alright for you.

Also how do you want to be credited? Is it fine if I credit you in the readme and link to your github profile?

Thanks again!

Yep, sounds good to me, happy with a small credit in the authors section.

I'll remove UnrealScript from SPC, and will clear out this repo and put a link to yours (in case on any inbound links to here). Let me know once you've gotten what you want and I'll do the deed, just reply here and let me know :)

Zinggi commented 11 years ago

Alright, thank you very much! I let you know once it is accepted to package control

Zinggi commented 11 years ago

hey, just wanted to let you know that it's now on package control

beefsack commented 11 years ago

Hi @Zinggi, sorry about taking my time to get to this, have been busy moving countries the last couple of weeks. I'll put a notice up hear and remove the package from SPC over the weekend and will let you know.

Zinggi commented 11 years ago

No problem, there's no hurry. As a test I tried installing both at the same time and there aren't many problems doing so. Again, thank you very much for everything!

Hey @Zinggi, I've just sent a pull request to SPC and have added a note to the README file here (as well as changing the project subtitle and URL). Best of luck with your package :)

I'll send over some pull requests if I make any useful additions or bug fixes while I'm using it, I've got a UDK game project going so I'll be using your package.

Edit: SPC pull request for reference: https://github.com/wbond/package_control_channel/pull/1151

Thanks, I'm glad you're happy with my package. Pull requests are of course always welcome. I wish you all the best with your game!
