Using Raspberry Pi Pico W #2

Do I need to do any changes to the firmware I want to use the Pico W instead?

I tried with the precompiled firmware, but the keyboard is not showing up with the lsusb command and Vial doesn't recognise it.

So far I have soldered the two Picos and the TRSS jacks to the boards and was looking to test, if I get any key presses recognised. When I press the BOOTSEL button while connecting, I see the Picos on my Linux laptop.

When running

dmesg | grep -i USB

I get device descriptor read/64, error -110 followed by usb device descriptor read/64, error -71. If I understand correctly, the first one is often met, when the USB device isn't getting enough power. Can this really be the case with a 2015 Macbook Pro? The same happens with either half as the master, alone, or halves connected.
