Font sizes inconsistent on Android Chrome in desktop mode

Replicata

1. Open https://blog.beeminder.com/nuclear on Android Chrome
2. Use the 3-dot menu in the upper right and check the "Desktop site" checkbox
3. Refresh the page

Expectata

To see the blog post as usual, perhaps annoyingly small since we're trying to see the desktop version of the site on a phone screen.

Resultata

1. Some of the text is unreadably small
2. The body font size changes

Maybe it's the pullquote messing things up somehow? But it doesn't replicate with http://blog.beeminder.com/wetterfeet which also has a pullquote.

I'm also seeing confusingness on many blog posts where the body font will change when I refresh the page.
