Tentative Decisions:
Kill the rosy (pink) line.
Make the moving average line (mav) be nice and thick and display behind the datapoints.
Make the aura's width be +/- stdflux but no less than (double? triple? whatever looks good) the display width of a single datapoint.
Add a connect-the-dots option (cdots), colored gray since I'm skeptical it should exist and because it should have a distinct color and I can't think of a better color.
In the UI, have a single setting with 4 possible values:
(a) steppy purple line
(b) smooth purple line: mav + aura (mav & aura become a package deal!)
(c) gray connect-the-dots line
(d) just the data
