I think it is a good idea to write up my idea's for the Biotech mod. At the moment we have one kinda working Machine:
The Worker, the worker is basically the all-in-wonder machine that does all functionality. It might be just me, but making just one machine sounds kinda boring.
I think we should have several tiers of machines that all do different things:
Seeding machine. This machine will keep any dirt in a certain area tilled with a Hoe, the Hoe will get damaged with usage and break down after a while. Afterwards it will take seeds from a nearby inventory and place them in the dirt.
Treeing machine. This machine will keep planting nearby sapplings. Takes the saplings from a nearby inventory.
Woodcutting machine. This machine will take a Axe, and will try to cut down nearby tree's. After cutting down the tree it will popout the wood or place the wood in a nearby inventory.
Harvesting machine. This machine will harvest any nearby full grown plants and place them in a nearby inventory. If there are any seeds left, it will also gather any nearby seeds.
Fertilizing machine This machine will take bonemeal and place it on nearby crops.
Mining machine This machine will take a pickaxe and mine nearby blocks.
Filling machine This machine will take blocks and place them nearby.
The CommandCircuits will still be used, but will specify to certain machines what crops to plants, harvest or fertilize. Example If you place a WheatCircuit into a seeding machine it will place the seeds in the proper way, just Hoe the land and place only low ammounts of water.
If you plave a MelonCircuit in the seeding machine it will, make a row of water next to the tilled land and wait for the blocks to become watered.
