Always down to scout out Broderick. Love that place. It does have nice, big tables & also a fairly tight bar area with multiple high tables. There might be private rooms too, I'm not sure. But we can totally check it out. Let me know when you'd want to go.
Broderick is awesome! It's pretty large inside too, so you should be able to get people to fit in there (unless your party is going to bigger than, say, 20). Also, the bahn mi fries. Seriously one of the best dishes in town.
The pics on Yelp made it look small which is why I was a bit hesitant. Good to hear that it will likely not be an issue. Its probably still worth a visit to talk to them about seating. I generally like bar areas to keep things more informal, but we'll see what they recommend.
Also, if you know you can make it, RSVP away! :beers:
I'm, obviously, 110% in. You wanna grab lunch there today or something to check it out D Money?
@thefatpanther I've tweeted at you.
Everyone else, don't forget to chime in if you are going!
Can't go! :( Have fun guys!
I would love to see what you guys talk about there, perhaps as a gist or in this thread. I feel like I'm missing out!
@abustamam We just talk!
People. Javascript. Beer. In that order.
We are mainly about meeting like minded people. I have overheard conversations ranging from detailing Node's Stream API to last weekend's NFL games. Everything is very informal right now as we try and build a proper JS-community here in SAC. Now that we are gaining momentum, we can start thinking about starting more formal technical meet-ups with presentations and the like. But we can't do that without people! So, people first. :smile:
Be sure to follow @beerjs_sac and @sac_js for all the info!
Reminder to our regulars @samt, @efletch, and @a-axton (and all of Rocket Dept) to let me know if you can attend tonight :beers: :beers: :beers:
I should be there! I must have missed the notification for this one.
Location: Broderick Restaurant & Bar Date: Thursday, September 25th Time: 6pm
Time to start planning! This week, I'm thinking of going with @thefatpanther's suggestion of Broderick Restaurant & Bar, but I have some concerns about the size of the place. Based on last weeks attendance, we might need some considerable space that a restaurant might not be able to offer. Worst case, we can use Yolo Brewing as a fallback.
@thefatpanther, got any more insight? I'm tempted to scout it out beforehand so I can see what its like and maybe talk to their manager.
Aside from that, I'm always open to suggestions. Just leave a comment below!
