I'd like to propose we disable this by default.

I'm no longer using it on any Drupal projects as I add aliases directly to the project to be version controlled.

Rebased and will merge this one as I want to remove the ability of adding/modifying files outside of the project directory by default.

My ~/.drush dir is a bit of a mess and many of these are non drupal projects.

The other option would be to remove the default of beet_project == drupal and only create aliases for drupal projects.
