I modified cricket a bit because it didn't work on our current setup. It makes some assumptions which are not true at our company.

So I added some flexibility, while maintaining backwards compatibility.

Thanks for the PR. Ideally, since this is two problems, I'd prefer to see it as two pull requests.

Some tests would also be nice. I appreciate that I'm the pot calling the kettle black here, as the Django tools don't have any tests at present - but a couple of tests for the "tolerance" issues would resolve any ambiguity around why they are required.
