Gity silently fails during a push.

When performing a push the following conditions (and possibly others) are not reported to the user:

• If one's local repo is not up to date, and user attempts a push, it fails silently.
• If the git server is down, and user attempts a push, it fails silently.

Expected result: A message similar to what git itself reports.
