Problems on Designer - navigation bar at bottom of screen

There are a couple of problems with the navigation bar at the bottom of 
the screen - the bar which shows which slide you are on and has the 
Previous and Next buttons.

1. If you look carefully the bar is very slightly wider than the rest of 
the screen, on both the left and the right (maybe a pixel out each side).

2. You can move an image behind the layer of this bar - see attached file 
for screenshot.
