crash when changing spkdet settings #24

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. begin spontaneous recording, enabling timed recording and repeated recording 
(i used 10sec recording intervals as a test).
2. press stop.
3. edit spike detection settings and change something (i clicked the down 
button on the slope setting this time, but it has also occurred when i switch 
to a different detection algorithm)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i expect to be able to change the settings w/o errors.
instead a NullReferenceException dialog box appears.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
revision 360, windowsXP
(AD rig in Potter lab)
