Buffer Overrun Error often occurs #73

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run an open-loop *.olaux stimulation protocol, while recording.
2. Buffer overrun error occurs at variable times. It's not clear what
specifically is prompting it
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Data is truncated, and the recording has to be performed again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.01.494. Vista.

Please provide any additional information below.
This error used to be infrequent, but in my last experiment was occurring
frequently. I don't have any of the buffers checked in the settings, but it did
seem like lengthening the onboard buffer from 1 to 2 or 3 seconds helped. I'm
not sure what this error is from, or to what it's referring.

Hi Neal,

What did the error message say, exactly? Did it just say "Buffer Overrun" in a
single messagebox, or was it more descriptive.

To get a bit more specific can you do a couple things the next time this
happens:

1. Click the note button. Click snapshot. Save the note file. This will tell us
what your current settings are.

2. Take a screen shot of the error message and post the image here.

3. Click system --> show console on the main NeuroRighter screen. Copy the
content of the log to your next post.

Also, are you recording raw data streams?

Finally, take a look at issue 56. Does this seem like the same thing?
