Provide a different landscape layout where some HUD elements show up in the right hand side of the screen and the body itself is resized to keep its aspect ratio but sit on the left hand side.
The HUD elements which should appear this way are definitely all of the slices (search results, glosses, pointglosses, etc) as well as help. When skimming, keep the head on top and shrink the heart.
