Cecilia crashes at launch on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Hello

After using Cecilia 5 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS for a while, now that I upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS I can install Cecilia normally but can't run it as it crashes at launch.

I installed it from Synaptic - as once I did on 20.04.

The Terminal log is the following:

I am having the same problem on Debian sid. It seems related to some changes in wxPython 4.2.0 (vs 4.1.0). Unfortunately i can't seem to be able to compile wxPython 4.1.0 in a venv.

@priosfilho I don't think the release has been updated but it's easy to get going: in a terminal, cd into a directory of your choice, then git clone https://github.com/belangeo/cecilia5.git. cd cecilia5 and python3 Cecilia5.py to run the app.

It’s in the sources on github, there will be no more binary release of Cecilia (at least not by me)… Cecilia is pure python code, very easy to run from the command line.

You will need a couple of dependencies:

git: if not already installed sudo apt install git

wxpython: python3 -m pip install -U -f https://extras.wxpython.org/wxPython4/extras/linux/ubuntu-22.04 wxpython

numpy: python3 -m pip install numpy

Then, clone Cecilia repository: git clone https://github.com/belangeo/cecilia5.git

And run: cd cecilia5 python3 Cecilia5.py
