Beyond the Iron Age #70

We've talked a bit about this in Discord.

Beyond the Iron Age, I'm thinking that the ages become non-linear. For example, taking the path of magic could be the "Silver Age" and taking the path of tech would be the "Industrial Age"; you could possibly be in both the Silver Age and the Industrial Age (or any other ages we decide to add) simultaneously.

Lance suggested sticking with a metal theme such that the name of the age of Tech would be, say, the "Steel Age" which could be followed up by a "Titanium Age" which would require a possibly tech-heavy process to produce. We could then use advanced alloys for tech ages beyond, such as Titanium-Aluminide or Titanium-Iridium. Not that we particularly need to make ages beyond the start.

I suppose logical ages for magic would be precious metals such as silver, gold, then platinum.

I don't think metals are more appropriate then materials for the magic side of thing. And Space Age is so iconic as a name. Materials rather then Metals

Tech Side: Gate and Wall of Steel After That: Power, Logic, Cyberware, Transcendent Inventories, Space Travel

Magic Side: Gate and Wall of Mithril After That: Promise Accepter 4, Natura Pylons, Summoning and Spawning, Planar Portals and Travel

On the Magic Side: Crystals, Portals,
