Probably should make this separate issues.

Disable the source ore in the Overworld.

Make crafting the novice book require defeating the lich (Twilight Forest). Also potentially require the Sweet Heart (Witch drop).

Transfiguration: Vinteum + Blessed Dust = Source Gem Ore Vinteum + Accursed Dust = Dark Gem Ore

Evilcraft: Convert ventium ore to dark gem ore in the blood infuser

second thought, make the lich drop the basic book for Ars Nouveau, Add to the lich tower somehow, the basic book for Evilcraft (or maybe the dark apples), Occultism, Blood magic (does it have a book?), Mana and Artifice, as well as various scrolls. Book mine should have books!

Make the basic AN book craftable, with those witchy and illager drops. AN, also needs the source gem accumulator moved to much later game or nerfed somehow.

We'll have to rethink this since we no longer have either Mana And Artifice or Twilight Forest.

the gems are no longer worldgen, but are made from changing amethyst or lapis into them.

We will be getting Evilcraft back, though. I wouldn't mind having to transfigure amethyst into dark gems.

cross compat where you can turn source and dark gems into each other would be a good step.

Can we add a magic book loot table, and associate it with witches, those illager casters, and say evilcraft werewolves? As we get more caster type monsters / antagonists we can add it to them as well.
