I figured it out.
Before clicking "Submit", I needed to change the combobox abve it to "Discussion."
So, this is a usability issue, but at least not a showstopper.

I created a draft under Discussion, edited it, and pressed "Submit".
I now see the post, but it still has "Draft" in red on top, and does not appear under Discussion.
It still appears in my DRAFTS list (i.e., under http://lesswrong.com/user/JoshuaFox/drafts/ )
How can I submit this draft?
